Another of my classmates from Nettie Marshall. I can see him now--sitting across from me in the cafetorium. Guess we were alphabetized--I see Jim Burns sitting beside him.
And I don't think Dennis liked the Fridays at Nettie Marshall when Mrs. Hill taught us dances. It was my favorite time--I think all of us girls loved learning to waltz, foxtrot, tininkle (the dance with the two bamboo poles). But it had to be hard on guys like Dennis, who were shy, when they had to cross that big expanse of floor and ask us to dance.
