Anyway, my cousin Ben Spies is ranked #2 worldwide in World Superbike racing. He won in Italy Sunday, and will be in South Africa for the next race.

My cousin Ben Spies won both races in Utah, the only World Superbike races held in the USA this season. He will be racing in Misano, Republic of San Marino, this weekend. Check the Speed Channel for race times Sunday, June 21.

He did an interview on Dave Despain's Wind Tunnel before the Utah races. He is ranked #2 in the world, and gained some points on the #1 rider while in Utah.

Racing Magazine Photo Annual, a Sport Rider Special Edition, has 7 pages of just Ben in the issue on the newstands (or Barnes & Noble) right now--some good pix and articles.

I've been in New Orleans since June 6. Another cousin got married that day in the Saint Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square. When the wedding was over, the wedding party and guests paraded to the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street, following a second line brass band. The tourists were quite amused, taking pictures along the entire parade route. There were 300 guests, and we had police escorts at the beginning and end of the parade. After the 4-hour reception with a great 9-piece band, we hung out on the hotel balcony of my cousin's suite, overlooking Bourbon Street.

It will be difficult, but I will try to get home for the reunion.
